Micro Analog Systems and Sonitron in co-operation on low voltage piezo transducer modules
Helsinki, Finland - 07 March 2012 - Micro Analog Systems Oy and Sonitron NV, Sint-Niklaas Belgium, today announced a partnership aimed at offering Sonitrons SMAT piezoelectric transducers with Micro Analog Systems low voltage piezo buzzer driver assembled in the same module.
As a first step Sonitron have released an application note: - “Sonitron piezoelectric multi–application transducers ‘SMAT series’, in combination with the piezo driver ‘MAS6240’ of Micro Analog Systems”.
“Combining Sonitrons transducers with Micro Analog Systems piezo buzzer drivers will enable customers to get a very high sound pressure using only a 3V battery.” says Hugo Michiels, President & CEO at Sonitron.
Sonitron established in 1977 in Sint-Niklaas (Belgium), became the leading European manufacturer of piezoelectric audio components. Continuous research, intensive development and specialist know-how have resulted in a wide range of high quality and reliable products, from the smallest and most cost effective buzzer to highly sophisticated piezoelectric audio speakers. This allows Sonitron to meet the needs of many different applications
within the industrial, consumer, medical and military industry.
