Sensor Signal Interface (SSI)
MAS has a long history designing AD converters for use as signal conditioner IC's to Piezoresistive and capacitive MEMS pressure-, temperature- and humidity-sensors. Most of those designs have been ASIC's but we are now coming with a number of standard IC's that can be used to interface many different sensors. They are using EEPROM for storing calibration data and can be programmed for use with different sensor characteristics. One of our IC's are even used to measure the Martian atmospheric pressure in NASA's Phoenix Mars mission.
